How much should a TeleCommuter make?

The cost of living drives salary demand. TeleCommuters who live in lower cost of living areas have an advantage because they can offer very substantial salary savings to employers. If an employer's offices are in one of the high cost of living areas, they can realize a huge savings in salary by hiring you instead of an onsite worker who lives in their area who would require a much higher salary.

To get an idea of the savings you could offer an employer, use the Salary Wizard to compare the salaries for your position in both a high and lower cost of living location.

To get a national average salary, leave the location pulldown on State/Metro Area.

Add TeleCommuter commuter savings. There's also another savings you can offer employers. Pass on the savings you realize by not having to commute to work by car, rail, or bus.
